DREW DILKENS
Mayor, City of Windsor

Mayor Drew Dilkens was elected as Mayor on October 27, 2014.  Mayor Dilkens has an extensive history of community involvement in Windsor.  He spent 15 years with the Windsor Police Auxiliary where he was a Staff Sergeant.  He was a founding Board Member for the Canadian Manufacturing Hall of Fame.  He is also an annual Area Captain in the Windsor Goodfellows Paper Drive.  Drew has served as President to both the Windsor and Essex County Crime Stoppers and Windsor Road Watch programs.  Mayor Dilkens is also a past Executive Board Member of Windsor Regional Hospital, a Past Vice President of the Windsor Jaycees and former Chair of the Windsor Red Cross Emergency Services Unit.  He sat on the provincial board of the Human Resource Professional Association – the Ontario regulating body for the HR profession serving 18,000 members.

JOHN DOBROWOLSKY
President, Dobrowolsky Consulting Inc.

John Dobrowolsky creates abundance for ambitious companies and their sales teams. He has more than 25 years experience in management, marketing and sales. John has spent most of his career as a consultant to Entrepreneurs and Executives in a wide range of industries. He has also been a senior executive in health care, hospitality and information technology including his last position as Director of Business Growth with Qualcomm.

John’s commitment to coaching and training managers and salespeople comes from seeing too many honest, well intentioned professionals unnecessarily get abused by manipulative buyers, misled by traditional sales methods and held hostage by self-limiting beliefs.

John has a Master of Social Work and Master of Business Administration and is a volunteer at the EPICentre, Windsor-Essex Small Business Centre and Chamber of Commerce. He’s also a coach with the Tecumseh Soccer Club and the Tecumseh-Shoreline Minor Hockey Association.

 

ARI FREED
President, Freeds of Windsor

Ari is a foremost authority on igniting power within people to succeed in business and in life having delivered his message to many audiences in Canada including the University of Windsor, the 10.6 billion dollar Henry Schein Company which is recognized by Fortune as the worlds most admired company, and he was also the distinguished speaker in the OJC Masterclass presentation on motivating leading business professionals.

Ari was born and raised in Windsor Ontario.  Ari left home and studied in Toronto Ontario where at York university he attained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Economics. Ari returned home and received a Masters in Business (MBA ) in 1985 and joined Canada’s largest independent clothier Freeds of Windsor in which he acts as President. Freeds is a 3 generation family business started by his grandfather Sam in 1929. Ari is also active in community events and has served as chairman of the Better Business Bureau for 2 consecutive terms from 1999 to 2004.  Ari also served on the Board of Directors for the Ottawa Street Association,and the Windsor Chamber of commerce  and has been a 30 year long standing director of the Alzheimers society.

 

YVONNE PILON
President & CEO, WEtech Alliance

Yvonne Pilon is the President and CEO of WEtech Alliance, one of the eighteen Regional Innovation Centres in the province of Ontario focused on driving the growth and success of Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent’s technology centric companies and entrepreneurs.

Yvonne is passionate about promoting and building an entrepreneurial community here in Windsor-Essex. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in new venture formation, marketing and communications and social media. She also has an exceptional track record in planning and executing projects, events and programs. With notable achievements in the Windsor-Essex community, Yvonne was recognized and awarded with the 2013 University of Windsor Alumni Association’s Odyssey Award.

Yvonne was lead coordinator for Startup Canada’s National Tour visit to Windsor in May 2012. Yvonne is also the Chair for the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards and Co-Chair of the WE Prosper Youth Attraction and Retention Task Force.

 

 

NOUR HACHEM
University of Windsor

Nour is an employer relations coordinator at the University of Windsor. Over the past 10 years, she  has pursued a career leading multiple employment training programs in Windsor-Essex. She works with industry leaders to recruit the right candidate, and assists job seekers in landing their dream careers.  She is passionate about shifting perceptions, inspiring action and is the Producer of the #Becauseits2016 video (retweeted by the Prime Minister). She is the Build a Dream Chair, an initiative aimed at encouraging young women to pursue careers in Skilled Trades, STEM and law enforcement.
